Yoga and Meditation Asana by Master Mehrdad. At the young age of 14, I suffered from a spinal vertebrae injury and Rheumatoid Arthritis. I was introduced to Yoga as a way to increase circulation and in hopes of relieving my chronic pain. With Yoga and a change in diet, I was able to completely heal from arthritis and my injury. Of course motivated me more to further explore Yoga and learn everything I could about this amazing practice.
I traveled throughout India and I learned from the best Yogi Gurus as I pursued my journey in the Martial Arts. Today, I incorporated my Yoga training into my all training regime.
Yoga and Meditation
First, Yoga is much more than stretching the body. It is the science that connects the human body, mind and spirit. When you practice proper Yoga with Yogi Gurus or Masters, you are not only gaining maximum flexibility, increased circulation, healthier skin, a faster metabolism, but also stronger muscles, relief of chronic pain, and most importantly mental and spiritual strength.
At my Yoga and Meditation Asana morning class, you learn a very traditional form of Yoga. I enjoy connecting with my students spiritually during my Yoga classes and teaching the meditation aspect, as well as feeling each pose and channeling your energy (Om) with every movement.
I offer limited Yoga classes, but all of my Martial Arts and Muay Thai students incorporate Yoga as a part of their training . To practice traditional Yoga is very essential, if you want to be the best in all physical fitness at all sports programs.
My approach for the past 25 years has always been to teach my Yoga students the philosophy about this beautiful spiritual art and with each Yoga pose, the meditative motion to channel your OM universal energy to your body by connecting with each Asana.
