My name is Master Mehrdad Khan Moayedi and I am an 8th Dan Black Belt.  My history in the Martial Arts goes back 40 years, learning traditional fundamentals under the greatest Grand Masters from around the world.  17 years ago I started teaching traditional Martial Arts in the Tampa Bay area and have since developed my own unique style of Martial Arts under my organization World Shin Do Kumaté Association, Inc.  In 2002, I founded an international fighting sport “Shin Do Kumaté that is produced for television and distributed worldwide.

Growing up in the Far East provided me the privilege of eating a very nutritious and organic diet. I have lived in the West for the past two decades where it’s very hard to eat properly with our fast paced lives and the lack of nutrition in my body was frustrating because I was not accustomed to this lifestyle.  As a very active individual, my body craved nutrition and no matter how healthy my diet or how many supplements I tried to fill the void, it was not enough because as an athlete I needed more than what I could get from food or a protein shake.

As a professional fighter with a rigorous training regimen, I do not believe in putting creatine, steroids, performance enhancements, or anything in my body for a quick fix.  I am too old schooled for that and I only seek nutrition in its purest form.  That is why I was so happy I came across Sweet Wheat, a wheat grass nutritional supplement of the purest form.  And of all the wheat grass supplements I have found, Sweet Wheat is the only product I have found that can be ingested at a point where it provides the most effective results and I can feel it immediately and it’s effects are long-lasting because it contains the nutrients my body needs.  I feel rejuvenated and energetic all throughout the day.  Even my daughter says she noticed my legs are more defined than ever since I started Sweet Wheat.

I believe in this product so much that my company has partnered with Sweet Wheat and I strongly recommend it to all my athletes that I personally train to take the product daily, including my family.  I proudly endorse Sweet Wheat and urge all people, whether you’re an athlete or not, try this product.  I promise you will feel the difference in your body and be well on your way to a healthier life.

My name is Soudabah Moayedi and for over 13 years I’ve been training and fighting in the art of Muay Thai as well as traditional martial art training under my father Master Mehrdad. With an amateur record of 12-3 and current holder of the 2007 Master Mehrdad Muay Thai Classic Lightweight Champion. I was constantly looking for supplements that would give me energy; since my family is also very health conscious we wanted something natural that would be good for us. I take Sweet Wheat every morning and for the rest of the day I have the energy I need. It gives me my full energy potential in the gym too where I need it the most when I’m training for a fight. Before I was able to do five rounds on the bags then two sparring then two more on Thai pads or focus mitts. But I would be huffing and puffing and wouldn’t be able to go at it to my fullest potential, just enough to get me through it and I didn’t want that. I wanted to go through the rounds and not feel like I was dying afterwards. With Sweet Wheat I’m able to do all that and still have some energy left over. Sweet Wheat not only has given me more energy but it’s also made my muscles more toned and defined. I have Sweet Wheat to thank for my focus and new found energy and would recommend it to anyone.

Travelle Mason - Light Heavyweight (2009) IKF and (2007 & 2008) Master Mehrdad's Muay Thai ClassicI Champion.

I am an athlete and train 6 days a week as a Muay Thai fighter, and I feel it’s important to provide my body with the best quality foods and supplements.  I wake up in the morning and start my day off with a prayer, a multi-vitamin and a teaspoon of Sweet Wheat to fuel me for my 6 mile run.  Since starting Sweet Wheat, I have noticed my energy level go up and my timing has improved significantly.  I take the powder and its easily dissolvable.  My preference is taking it with grape juice and my body absorbs it right away.  I definitely recommend this product to athletes, and especially to those who don’t get enough vitamins and minerals in their body by food alone.

Gaines Slocum – Muay Thai Amateur Fighter from Master Mehrdad’s Martial Arts & Fitness
I've never been the type who puts much stock in the endless array of supplements available to athletes today.  When it comes down to it, very few of them provide any long term benefit.  They simply churn them out so quickly that you can't possibly keep up with the validity of the endless new product claims.  Sweet Wheat is one of the few products that I've come across that I feel lives up to its claims and then some.  For long term development, I've always found that proper nutrition and ample rest were the only two components outside of my workout that truly affected my progress.  So when I find a product that helps with the absorption and utilization of the fuel I'm already putting into my body, I'm sold and Sweet Wheat does just that.  The first thing you will notice when taking it is increased regularity.  This will soon clear out build up and toxins enabling you to absorb more of the nutrition you are already trying to get into your body.  Soon you will notice an increase in energy levels throughout the day and a quicker recuperation during and after your workouts.  Really a great product, almost like you are cleaning the fuel injectors of a car, in that you are able to burn your fuel more efficiently and get a better gas mileage out of what you put in your body after routine use of the product.

My name is Shahnaz Moayedi, I am a fifteen year old Muay Thai fighter with an amateur record of  14 wins 1 loss and 1TKO.  I’m not your average teenage girl.  While training for a fight I’m in my father’s gym six days a week; (www.mastermehrdad.com) my training including lifting weights, sparring, hitting the bags, working the Thai pads and boxing the focus mitts. With all the training and my everyday school work, my body needed more than just protein shakes to keep from crashing, and to shutting down.  About a month ago my dad started my sister and I on a supplement called Sweet Wheat. A pill we would take in the morning to keep us focused at school earlier in the day, and energized and strong while we worked out in the evening. Sweet Wheat not only helped my internally, but externally as well. I started to notice within the first week how my arms became more shapely and also how muscular and strong my legs were. I thank Sweet Wheat for giving me the tools to become a better fighter and a better student and I will continue to recommend this excellent product. For more testimonials check out www.mkmfights.com

My name is Desiree Samson. I am 27 yrs old Female Amateur Muay Thai Fighter. I train daily @ Master Mehrdad’s Muay Thai. I am always looking for something to give me that extra edge while training and throughout the day. A week before my last fight, my trainer Master Mehrdad introduced me to a product called Sweet Wheat. I have tried lots of different ways to make my weight on many occasions. I started taking Sweet Wheat 4xs A day For about three days. Between eating healthy and Sweet Wheat I am here to tell you I lost 5lbs in that time period. Not only has Sweet Wheat helped me with my weight. I have noticed my energy level rise, as well as my stamina and endurance.

Always handling different types of materials. This cause a lot of wear and tear. Cracking, Dryness, Cuts, Slivers. ECT. Whenever this happens which is often i mix my Sweet Wheat with water like a paste. Place the Sweet Wheat on effected area and instantly Sweet Wheat starts to work. The pain latterly goes away! I have watch this product heel my skin almost completely in about an hour.

Sweet Wheat is truly an amazing product. I would not only recommend Sweet Wheat to Athlete's or People working in a Trade, But to everyone! I've been using Sweet Wheat Powder for a couple of months now and have made it a part of my daily diet. I just started on another bottle. I take a 1/2 teaspoon scoop on my tongue first thing in the morning with a swig of water and swish for a minute or so and swallow. I then follow up with a glass of water. I do this on an empty stomach. Within minutes I can feel the awakening occurring throughout my body. I also use it sometimes in the afternoon for a little pick me up or after a hard nights training at the Master Mehrdad’s Dojo (www.mastermehrdad.com) before I go to bed to give my body the needed nutrients to restore the energy for cleansing and repairing my bodies systems.

The effects are subtle, but undeniable and steady throughout the day....

I've started training with Master Mehrdad since late December and it has been a great experience. You won't find a better instructor that are so knowledgeable and seasoned asMaster Mehrdad. If you are new to martial arts or have prior experience, he will definitely get you to where you want to be. I'm originally from Winchester, Tennessee but moved to Tampa, Florida due to joining the Air Force. I usually deploy overseas once a year for 8 months at a time so my time in the states is limited. After getting back from my last tour I had been studying up on different types of martial arts and I came across Muay Thai. I have had some experience in jui-juitsu and some tae-kwon-do from my brother but Muay Thai encompassed everything I was looking for and now all I needed was a teacher. I started looking on the internet and I saw a few places that taught and checked them out, but then I went to Master Mehrdad's. It was by far more authentic and more personally based training than the others. So I started my training with him and immediately saw results in my stamina, power, speed, flexibility, and my motiviation to get better. I continue to improve and plan to start my mauy thai amatuer fighting career when Master Mehrdad approves. My confidence and my physical shape are continually improving even when I'm deployed using his routines and workout plans and owe all of the credit to Master Mehrdad and his teaching. You won't find a better guy or a better teacher. Thanks again sir.

My Life’s Example

In Sari, Iran a boy was born. He grew up into a man in the comfort of his family. But all that changed when the Iranian Revolution started which led to the Iran and Iraq war. Then in 1984 he escaped. Travelling all over the world he finally came to Canada and met a woman named Rona Jean and on October 2,1991 they married. One year later October 12,1992 his wife gave birth to a baby girl. That baby girl was me and the man I’m talking about is my dad, Mehrdad Khan Moayedi.

Settling in America, he came from a country of respect and tradition, to a country were people from the Middle East were considered terrorists. That’s one reason my dad is my hero because coming to America he had nothing. He overcame all obstacles and in January of 1997 he became an American Citizen

I lived on and off with my dad since 2000. After 3 long, hard years he got full custody of my sister and I. We came to live with him in April of 2001. He told me once,” I used to live comfortably in Toronto. I came back so my girls could have a better life.” That will stick with me forever. Why? Because it took him 3 long years to get us. Those 3 years he could of spent building his business. That is the second reason he is my hero.

Like I said before, coming here from Iran he had a lot of obstacles in his way. He has devoted 37 years of his life to Martial Arts. Earning his fighting name, “The Persian Warrior.” He has a fighting record of 39 wins 30 of which are KO’s with only 4 loses. My dad opened his Martial Arts school on December 21st, 1993, which now holds over 100 students. Founding MKM Knockout Promotions, he brought Muay Thai to North America with a professional fighting event called Shin Do Kumate. Within 5 years it blew up into the biggest Muay Thai event in North America. All that led to other events like Master Mehrdad's Muay Thai Classics, which I fight in today.

My dad has accomplished all of his dreams by showing hard work and dedication . This is the third reason he is my hero. He will do anything for his family, students, and his friends. He will fight for his country till the day he dies. He will always be my hero, my master and more importantly my dad.

As a student of Master Mehrdad, I’ve had the opportunity to learn Yoga, Kung Fu, Hapkido, Grappling, and work out in the 30-Day Body Transformation class working with kettlebells and Persian meels.

I came to Master Mehrdad’s School in May of 2008 with the initial intension to learn Mixed Martial arts. But after learning of my previous back injury (I have a permanently crushed vertebrae in my lower back), Master Mehrdad strongly recommended I take 2 months of his yoga classes first. I was not interested in yoga, but followed his recommendations, so I would be able to enter the Martial Arts program.
Within one month of yoga, my back muscles relaxed to a point that I’ve never been able to reach before. My core strength increased, and I no longer had any pinching or pain. This lead to my no longer needing pain killers and anti-inflammatory drugs – I had to take them almost daily. Surprisingly, I felt so much better from the yoga alone; I continue to practice it after entering the Martial Arts program.

I must say, I’m proud to be a student of Master Mehrdad’s Martial Arts program.  It’s a strong and motivating atmosphere that drives me to want to learn more. Master Mehrdad projects an image of confidence with a strong sense of family to the class that truly makes me feel like I am part of just that – a family. The students are all understanding of one another’s different levels of achievements and help and encourage each other always. I’m happy to know my 5 year old daughter, too, is a part of this program! It’s a great environment to learn in and grow as a person. My daughter and I have made many good friends and hope to be in this program as long as we possibly can be.

The 30-Day Body Transformation class is awesome for getting your whole body into shape! Master Mehrdad has some of the most unique exercise routines I’ve ever done – your body will never know what’s coming! Though, I think what I enjoy most of this class is again, the atmosphere. This class is tough, yet never competitive among students. All students encourage and help one another. No one leaves feeling defeated! I love this most about Master Mehrdad’s School!

Altogether, I feel privileged to be a part of this great school and would recommend it to anyone looking to improve their health, both physically and mentally.

"After training with another instructor for almost a year, I decided to make a change because I did not feel I was correctly learning the fundamentals of Muay Thai.  I finally chose Master Mehrdad's academy after extensive research regarding his experience as a Muay Thai fighter and instructor.  After only three months training with Master Mehrdad, I can say that he doesn't disappoint!  Not only have I learned more about Muay Thai in three months than I learned at my previous academy, I am extremely impressed with Master Merhdad's patience and ability to motivate me.  My only regret is that I didn't begin training with him sooner!  Thank You Master Mehrdad!"

Dear Master Mehrdad,

I’m writing this letter to let you know how your excellent coaching has improved my life.  As you know, I’ve been involved in sports most of my sixty years.  For example, at the age of 40, I completed an Ironman-distance triathlon in Cape Cod, Massachusetts.  Over the years, I’ve enjoyed skiing, hiking, biking, snowshoeing, aerobics, in-line skating, bow hunting, scuba diving, and other strenuous sports.  However, injury and the years have taken their toll on my back, knees and other joints.

I have had almost constant pain in my back from bulging and compressed discs.  Three years ago, I suffered a torn left hamstring from skiing.  Last year, I lost my anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) in my right knee to another skiing accident.  The cumulative effect of these injuries was to slow me down and make me feel all of my sixty years.  I was in danger of having to give up activities I had come to love and enjoy.

My daughter, Staci Goodrich, told me about you and her workouts practicing Muay Thai kickboxing.  Soon my wife, Jerrie, Staci, Sean, my son-in-law, and my granddaughter, Bailee, were all studying Muay Thai under your able tutelage.

I now feel twenty years younger!  I just returned from a ski vacation and was able to ski all day, almost every day, pain free.  I am much more flexible, have increased stamina, and I’m able to keep up with students half my age.  Thanks to you, I feel confident that I’ll be able to continue participating in the sports I love.

Sincerely,

"I had been going to one gym or another (Tyrone Racquetball Club, Bally's, Lifestyles) for over 20 years, and it was getting very boring: cardio, weights, repeat.  I never saw any decent results.  Our daughter began hap-kido belt classes with Master, so I decided to check out his Muay Thai for fitness and Saturday morning iron body training programs.  IT HAS CHANGED MY LIFE!  It is never the same workout twice and always very challenging.  I have the privlidge of attending sessions with fight-experienced black belts.  I have learned so much, not just about exercise and fitness, but about dedication and commitment to a physical goal and belief in oneself.  The cameraderie of my fellow classmates has been an extra bonus.  His programs are for anyone who wants actual results, who seeks a different path for mind and body.

Thank you, Master!"

The Foundation of yoga taught to me by Master Mehrdad Firmly grounded not only my technique but also my understanding of what yoga is and how it applies to care of the body. I approached Master Mehrdad in a de-conditioned state after a decade of chronic pain due to fibromyalgia and various spinal injuries. I aspire to share the practice of yoga as an instructor for eight (8) weeks, which has become my only source of true relief. I now have the muscular strength as well as mental serenity that have enabled me to cope with the physical pain in my life. Though his gentle and intuitive teaching style i have aquired peace of mind and yoga as an integral aspect into my daily life.

How long have you been training with Master Mehrdad?  1 year

Why did you choose Master Mehrdad?  I visited several local schools, but felt this was a more authentic and traditional school vs. a belt factory.

What has Master Mehrdad’s unique teaching done for you?  I feel that he is supportive of my personal goals and needs as well as help me with Spin Bifida because i could kickbox on the heavy bag and have more balance doing my Kung-Fu Martial Arts Forms.

What message would you like to give others about Master Mehrdad’s school?  This school is not a commercial school that promotes the sale of belts, but rather a goal oriented school with emphasis on true traditional martial art teachings.  Here is where students achieve real improvements rather than a place where you just go through the movements.

I started working out at World Shin Do Kumaté Association, Inc. with Master Mehrdad Khan Moayedi back in November 2005. I went there with a goal in mind and that was to lose weight. Unfortunately I was not that serious about losing weight because I would only go workout once a week. After about two months of fooling around I went to Master Mehrdad and told him I was ready to get serious and lose this weight. I was 185 pounds on a 5’4 frame and I was miserable being that overweight. Master Mehrdad and I sat down and talked about a goal and when I would start the program. Monday January 18, 2006 was the first day of my weight loss journey. Master Mehrdad gave me a 30 day eating plan and informed me that I had to work out 5 days a week. I was required to weigh in once a week and after about two months I was down 20 pounds and in the best shape of my life. I lost inches and my shape started to take form. Its two years later and I am down 45 pounds and have kept it off. Thanks to World Shin Do Kumaté Association and Master Mehrdad’s Martial Arts & Muay Thai Federation I lost weight, inches, and most importantly gained confidence and a high self-esteem. I have never worn a bikini except as a child and now I am proud to say I can wear a bikini and look good in it. The third picture of me to the right is new me today, which took on 2/24/2009. I feel my best in life.

Jacob Henson (Student since 1994 to present)
Age: 26
Occupation: United States Army & Pharmacist

I first went to Master Mehrdad's in September 1994 but due to moving did not start going regularly until May of 1997. I worked my way up to Brown Belt before joining the Army in 2001 and continued to train myself and teach Self Defense and Rape Prevention courses to fellow soldiers and spouses where I was stationed in Friedberg, Germany. Also in Baghdad, Iraq trained a platoon of 60 soldiers for two months in basic self defense. I was awarded the rank of Blackbelt in 2002 when I returned to Florida on leave.

While in Germany I began boxing where I won the 2003 United States Forces Boxing Championships in the 152lb division. At current date my record is 7-0-0 with 5 KO's.
Master Mehrdad helped me to build my self confidence and taught me discipline. My Martial Arts training helped me to exceed in everything I have done in life. It taught me to take charge by leading classes and erased the word can't from my mind by completing physical tasks I never thought possible from 5 minute horse stances with a 200lb man on my legs to breaking 10 boards with a single strike. Master Mehrdad is more then a mentor in martial arts he is a mentor in all aspects of life.

My life has changed both physically and spiritually since I began my study of Martial Arts with Master Mehrdad in 2001. My flexibility and strength have dramatically improved and I have developed an awareness of the energy flow in my body. Training with Master Mehrdad I have been exposed to the world of Tai Chi, Qigong (energy work), meditation and Yoga. Master Mehrdad offers a unique balance of physical conditioning and spiritual growth that can be found in only a few traditional martial arts schools. I have found that Master Mehrdad’s sharing of his vast knowledge of the traditional arts allows him to connect with his students and guide them down the path of both physical and spiritual growth. In my opinion these are the qualities of a truly gifted teacher.

I suffered from a sciatica condition that not only forced me to stop my previous martial arts practice and also prevented me from walking anywhere but very short distances. Western medicine offered me only short term relief from the pain.

I visited Master Mehrdad's dojo back in 1994 and learned that he had studied a variety of martial arts directly from Eastern Grand Masters. After explaining my condition, Master Mehrdad told me he had to overcome a crippling car accident at a young age. His sister-in-law from India introduced him to yoga and through its practice was able to walk again and go on to become a 6th Degree Martial Arts Master. He told me that through the practice of yoga he could alleviate my problem within two years.

With Master Mehrdad's support and teaching of the OM yoga strength and flexibility postures my body was freed of the agonizing pain that was affecting my life. At 52 years old I have a new lease on life, having gained increased strength, flexibility and stamina.

As a Reader of Yoga Journal, I believe you will be impressed by Master Mehrdad's knowledge, skill and spiritual approach. Here is a website that was created by one of his students as a gesture for all that he did for her life: www.mastermehrdad.com .

John Small (Student since 1994 to present)

My experience with Master Mehrdad K. Moayedi these last six years have been very challenging and rewarding. My recent promotion to the black belt level is an accomplishment I will always cherish. Moreover, I'm deeply honored to be one of his first black belt students. I am truly grateful to Master Moayedi for allowing me to develop my martial arts spirit and skills at my own pace. I will always have admiriation and respect for him. Not only for his skill level, but because his teaching is not about money. His teaching is about his students developing martial arts spirit and skill through time and patience. His teaching is not about how many fancy kicks you can do or how many techniques you know, but about developing spirit and skill through a strong foundation of solid stances, basic kicks, blocks and punches. Learning self-defense techniques through repetition, time, patience, and not allowing students to progress to the next level until the particular skills of each level is obtained. Master Moayedi's belt promotions are not based on a set schedule, but when he feels the student is ready and has shown the skill and spirit to move to the next level. His promotional tests are always challenging and increase as the student progresses through the ranks.

Now that I've obtained the rank of black belt under his teaching, I look forward in building on that solid foundation.

Ken Weissinger (Student since 1994 to present)

In the years that I have trained with Master Mehrdad, I have learned many things besides the martial arts. Things like confidence to be the "example" for the rest of the class for different things such as, leading the warm-up stretch, and teaching lower ranking students. Also to welcome new students and work with the kids and their parents to answer any questions they have. Also my strength and stamina have grown dramatically from his training. Plus the ability to use my talents that I have, speed and focus, to my advantage. Especially when sparring a larger fighter. Which is almost always the case, for me at least.

I feel that I have grown as a person and as a student because of his "never say die!" attitude, which makes me amaze myself when I do things that I never thought I could do and go further than I ever thought I could. This is what makes me push myself like I couldn't do for myself. Also makes some people think that I am crazy.

In closing I learned very much in the past many years and also met some very nice people. Plus have been able to carry some of his teachings to the work place with me and that has helped me to get more accomplished and feel good about the work I do.

Brandon Peacock (First student of Master Mehrdad from 1993)

What I learned at my Kung Fu is that you have to work hard to achieve your blackbelt and other tests. You have to practice your stuff whenever you can to become good at whatever you are practicing. The practicing helps you when you are one the streets so you can defend yourself.

G Mac (Student since 1997 to present)

I trained at Master Mehrdad Khan Moayedi's Dojang for over six years. I was rewarded my black belt on December 8th, 2001. I am currently 19 years old. I am attending the University of Florida. I am studying international business with a specialization in Chinese and Mass Communications. While attending Master Mehrdad's class, I have learned skills that traditional schooling could never teach. He has taught me, as well as other students, how to control my anger, emotions, and the disciplines of true martial arts. Also, I have learned to defend myself against men that are twice my size. Most importantly, however, I've developed self confidence that is useful for my everyday life.
